The Payments Performance team serves a critical role both in demonstrating thought leadership on challenging payment topics, and also partnering with our high-potential customers to set them up for long term success. We want a partnership with Stripe to be a competitive advantage for our customers, large and small, by providing them with best-in-class technology in concert with insightful and specific advice on how to harness this technology to achieve their business goals. The Payments Performance team is responsible for leading data-driven discussions with existing and prospective customers on optimisation strategies across a variety of areas including, card network costs, acceptance, fraud, and cross-border flows to start. As a foundational member of this team, you will be instrumental in building our optimisation narratives and defining our customer engagement model. You will also pair with Sales, deploying your knowledge to differentiate Stripe and win deals, and partner with Account Management to ensure that customers are successful on Stripe. You will: Be a cross-functional Subject Matter Expert on multi-factor authentication methods (e.g., 3D Secure) and associated regulatory requirements around Strong Customer Authentication/PSD2Serve as both an internal and customer-facing advisor on complex SCA compliance strategies and recommend optimisation strategies to improve authentication success rate and experience by understanding how authentication is implemented across industry associations (e.g., EMVCo), card networks, technology providers (e.g., Access Control Servers) and financial partners to Stripe. Act as an industry liaison, representing Stripe in conversations with issuing banks, card networks, and regulators - continuing to develop and evolve your expertise and maintaining existing relationships with authentication product owners, fraud prevention managers and partners across the industry. Develop and deploy sophisticated optimisation playbooks across Stripe?s customer portfolio, and continuously layer on new industry best practices and Stripe innovations to ensure our insights remain freshLead discussions with our largest existing and prospective customers, and provide the Sales team with tools and training to lead discussions with customers and prospectsClosely monitor authentication performance on Stripe, and support data driven investigations into user level issues.Synthesize and relay customer feedback and our findings to inform Stripe?s product roadmap You have: Subject matter expertise in Strong Customer AuthenticationAt least 5+ years of experience at a network, issuer, payments or technology company, law firm, or consultancy focused on developing or deploying SCA-related strategies and/or productA proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partnersThe ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environmentA proven ability to be a self-starter capable of driving business results without significant supervisionExperience presenting to senior business leadersExcellent financial modeling, verbal and written communication skillsStrong data processing and analytical skillsExperience with SQL or a willingness to learn Please find our EU applicant personal information notice here We look forward to hearing from you Apply now At Stripe, we're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity.
