Description: Their key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Impact Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation Leverage insights from our research and evaluation and refine our impact framework, strategies and initiatives across the Foundation, its partners and grantors. Identify priorities for in-depth learning and evaluation across the organisation. Develop appropriate evaluation and learning methodologies to meet the Foundation?s needs, and develop quality team learning experiences that are actionable and responsive to the organisation?s mission and impact strategy. Build the Foundation?s impact data infrastructure, to enable the collection, analysis, and synthesis of impact data, to evaluate and inform the organisation?s impact strategy.Collaborate with Foundation?s partners in countries to build their learning capacity and support their impact measurement and evaluation approaches to advance the organisation?s mission and strategy. Lead and manage the program evaluation, performance measurement, data management and analysis for the assessment of existing grant funded programs. Planning and strategy Report on progress and critical lessons learned to advise Foundation?s leadership and the Board Ensure that learning and evaluation results are integrated into ongoing work as well as future strategy and planning. Work with Foundation leadership and key staff members to inform an annual planning process, which includes gathering impact data from across the Foundation, assessing progress to date, analyse the current context and opportunities, and identification of annual priorities.Build the Foundation?s thought leadership strategy. Management Lead and manage the Impact Learning and Evaluation Team. External representation Identify, build, strengthen partnerships with external partners relevant for the Foundation?s impact work Represent the Foundation to share insights emerging from our work and build our credibility as thought leaders in the social impact sector globally. We are looking for a person who is excited about challenges and willing to take on other ad hoc projects as needed - we have a ton of fun ideas and need your help to make them happen! Skills: The Director of Impact Learning and Evaluation should have strong analytical, strategic, collaboration, and leadership skills, as well as an understanding of how to build a learning organization that embraces continuous improvement to create impact. These are the key capabilities we?re looking for: You use facts and available information to develop logical assumptions, and discriminate between important and unimportant details, recognize inconsistencies between facts and/or data, and draw correct inferences from information at both macro and micro level.You apply rigorous and field-accepted approaches to research, measurement and evaluation.You are willing to deep dive into our dataset and find information by being creative with data manipulation.You use a combination of qualitative and quantitative insight generation to highlight social impactYou are great at building strong relationships and have a demonstrated ability to collaborate well, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members and external partners through strong interpersonal skills..Excellent project management skills & attention to detail.Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to distill and explain complex concepts and effectively communicate key insights and takeaways to diverse audiences. Understanding multiple approaches to develop social impact-sector evidenceExperience with handling/manipulating large datasets on excel/google sheet.Basic understanding of SQL (Structured Query Languages)Demonstrated capacity of translating ideas into action.A track record of developing and implementing processes that advance learning across an organization or team.Advance knowledge of qualitative and quantitative evaluation methodsDemonstrated ability to create and implement new learning and evaluation approaches.Experience working collaboratively with others across a global organization.
