Research Scientist in Parametric Modeling

Description: The Opportunity Adobe is actively seeking a junior research scientist in parametric modeling to develop its research activities in parametric shape/appearance/motion modeling, with a special interest in interactive systems, vector graphics, 2D, 2D+time, 3D and 3D+time real time graphics applications. You will have a key role in creating the next generation of features in Adobe?s flagship products as well as in new initiatives, in particular regarding 3D technologies.What you'll Do Pursue research problems in computer graphics, especially in modeling and real-time interactive design systems.Initiate and conduct research projects, collaborating with Adobe Research as a whole and crafting new academic collaborationsDevelop a close relationship to the product teams and bring expertise on the most exciting topics our users are dealing with.Mentor interns to explore new areas at the frontier of graphics, vision and learningLecture colleagues on recent advances in the field and achievementsWhat you need to succeed Ph.D. (or soon to be granted Ph.D.) in computer science or applied mathematicsWorld-class expertise in parametric modeling and 2D/3D computer graphicsProven track record, demonstrating the ability to write research papers and publish them at the top venues in the fieldAbility to develop new computational models to support future visual content creation technologiesAbility to craft and lead collaborative research projects with academic partners, designers, engineers and artists.Develop engineering prototypes that may form the basis of technology transfers to product groups
