Steer the entities in order to ensure the coherence of the strategies, the consistency of the commercial approaches as well as the optimization of the risks and results;? Defining and coordinating Group policies, different transversal projects and standards, identifying and sharing best practices;? Supporting the entities in order to help them to grow, to develop their offer, their management and steering standards as well as their risk management. The head office of AXA Group (GIE AXA), based in Paris 8th, gathers the Group's corporate activities. It coordinates the various entities according to the Group's strategy and is responsible for managing international projects. The headquarters is composed with over 850 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities). Management Presentation: The Group Public Affairs department reports to the Group General Secretary and Deputy CEO of AXA Group. The team is composed of 3 senior Public Affairs managers, and 2 junior positions. The role of Group Public Affairs is to position AXA vis-a-vis key stakeholders beyond customers and shareholders public authorities, civil society, employees, etc. Main purpose: The Public Affairs department supports the AXA strategy by contributing to the public policy and regulatory debates relevant to AXA. One of the objectives is to turn regulation into a strategic competitive advantage. This mission is done in close cooperation with other AXA professional families and AXA entities. Core activities: Scope of the Unit?s activities:Duties with policy substance content:- Monitoring and understanding public policy developments and trends- Facilitating a common understanding of policy developments for AXA with a strong focus on business/operational impacts by drafting policy notes- Identifying policy priorities- Supporting AXA decision-making to anticipate policy developments and/or to adapt for upcoming policy changes - Building AXA positions and developing outreach strategy Outreach duties: - Projecting AXA as a fair and reliable partner in developing public policy - Ensuring AXA?s views and positioning are reflected in public policy, regulatory circles and industry bodies- Facilitating contact between AXA management/ experts and policy/law makers- Ensuring the consistency of AXA messages QualificationsTechnical and professional skills: Reporting to the Head of Public Affairs, you are in charge of identifying and following-up on major diverse European and International regulatory/supervisory developments. For this, you will be working closely with experts from relevant professional families.More specifically, your work in this respect will consist in:- Building, developing and defending the Group?s position on these regulatory issues both internally and externally. This includes determining the point of consensus between various internal views and being able to build a consensus externally around this position winning over other insurance companies and public and regulatory actors;- Drafting clear and concise briefings and background papers for internal and external purpose;- Building tight relationships with key AXA Group functions as well as with AXA entities on an ad hoc basis and through the "Public Affairs Network" (bringing together contacts in the major Group entities)- Maintaining permanent contact with external public stakeholders (European Commission, European Parliament, EIOPA, IAIS, French Treasury, ACPR?) and industry representatives (Insurance Europe, Pan European Insurance Forum, The Institute of International Finance, Geneva Association, CFO/CRO Forum and other Public Affairs teams of other major insurance companies) Further development Working in the Group Public Affairs team gives you broad exposure to a large range of strategic and operational matters of significance for AXA. As there is a strong focus on rigor and in-depth analysis as well as external and internal outreach, it prepares you for multiple functions in the Group thereafter. Communication skills: - Writing and communication skills, in French and English.- Relational skills to create/maintain an internal and external network. Managerial skills:No direct management but ability to manage contributors transversally. Experience: - You have 1 to 3 years of professional experience. You understand the role of the Insurance sector within the financial system as well as the difference with the other banking and Asset management industry components. - You have acquired a first technical expertise in economics, finance, risk management, legal or public law.- You may have had the opportunity of acquiring some international experience.- You have a good understanding of the insurance business? main challenges - You have a knowledge of the legislative cycle and law-making processes. - You are reliable and have a strong team spirit.
