Purpose of the Job

Manage the engineering activities for the telecom suppliers for tram projects and tenders

Organisation Reporting

Hierarchical Reporting to the Tramway system engineering Manager

Network & Links

Engineering: system enginnering team

Project: Project Engineering Manager (PrEM), Project Sourcing Manager (PrSM), Project Planning Manager (PrPM), ILS Manager, T&C Manager

Site: Quality Department, etc?

External Interface : Suppliers, Subcontractors, Customers,

Responsibilities

The telecom Engineering Leader must have a strong level in the relevant sub-system.

In addition of the development of specific projects he/she will be responsible to organize the activity and manage the relationships with the sourcing and the potential suppliers as follow:

Support and coordinate the Telecom activities

Support tenders & projects in terms of expertise

Ensure contact with the client and/or consortium representatives for the telecom sub-system definition

Ensure technology watch with the suppliers

Assist the sourcing for telecom suppliers mapping

Ensure support on normative aspects

Ensure design review application according to projects milestones

Knowledge & Experience

Telecoml Engineer , specialized with minimum 10 years-experience in telecom subsystems and interfaces within tramway systems

Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer).

Time management and reporting skills

Sense of urgency / priority

Customer & Product Focus

Structured and organized with Hands-on approach

English operational in read/writing and technical meeting

Innovation :

Able to identify and submit/integrate innovations proposed by the suppliers (architectures and/or equipment)
