Missions and ResponsibilitiesThe main object and purpose of this position consists in overseeing and ensuring that production facilities of plants built on the customer?s property function properly. The incumbent is also responsible for promoting ALC?s quality and safety objectives. The incumbent is also considered the Facility Manager as per IMS.KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES (to be adapted, depending on the level of the position held)1. Ensures operation of the plants: Starts, operates and stops plant operations in a safe manner.Makes sure that the procedures implemented are respected and drafts procedures when needed. Is thoroughly familiar with the various types of industrial equipment, piping, electrical circuits, control systems and operator interfaces. Conducts tests to verify the performances of the plant when necessary.2. Sees to the maintenance of equipment: Takes part in the annual planning of mechanical, electrical and other maintenance. Makes recommendations to his supervisor based on his observations about the operation of the equipment. Periodically maintains the equipment. 3. Safety / Quality: Wears protective equipment. Pays particular attention to the lock-out procedures and those concerning access to confined spaces. Takes part in developing and maintaining emergency procedures for the plant. Is the first to intervene in case of an emergency and initiates communications. Participates in safety meetings and helps to attain the safety objectives for his department. Reports any safety problem to his supervisor. 4. Provides administrative follow-up: Tracks preventive maintenance and spare parts. Documents the maintenance work done and keeps an up-to-date history of equipment maintenance. Initiates contact with suppliers. Prepares and distributes incident reports. Gathers data needed to bill the customer. Submits monthly production reports to his supervisor. Transmits production data to the various parties concerned over the Internet.5. Process improvement: Works with his team and multi-functional teams to continuously improve the work processes. Analyzes his activities, identifies the causes of problems and proposes adapted corrective measures.6. Provides customer service: Maintains courteous relations with the customer. Satisfies his obligations with respect to the customer in keeping with the agreement between Air Liquide and the customer. Handles confidential matters discretely. Informs his supervisor about any request from the customer so that it can be transmitted to the department concerned. Identifies potential products and services to be offered to the customer Competencies and ProfileDiploma: Secondary school diploma with pertinent experience or DEC in electricity, instrumentation or automation is an assetKnowledge: Compressed and cryogenic gases, computerized systems, MS Office, good written and oral communication skills, mathematical skills, WHMIS, handling and transportation of dangerous materialsExperience - 3 to 5 years? experience in the industrial field Additional information**It is part-time role ( 40 hours bi-weekly) ** At Air Liquide, we value the health and safety of our customers, patients and employees.
